2008 Jonathan Cage was in the height of his career in Underground X. Then the company shut down after some financial issues came up involving company owner John Fisher and unnamed monetary backers. Thus, Phoenix Wrestling Incorporated was born. With a small roster and money from Cage's own pocket, the company traveled all over the Far East concluding with it's only pay per view in Tokyo entitled Ascension. It was long afterwards that the money started to wear thin and Cage closed the doors to return to Underground X.
Fast Forward To...
2013 With Jonathan embarking on his career in the Epic Wrestling Organization, he made the tough decision to sell the rights to Phoenix Wrestling Incorporated. He decided, however, to keep it in the family by selling the rights to his cousin, Erik Dafoe. The last time Dafoe ran a company was back in 2001 when he ran International Championship Wrestling. Of course, we all know what happened there. It's been twelve years since he ran a wrestling promotion but he's looking to rectify the mistakes he made back then. The future remains to be seen...
